As a Refund Representative, you will be responsible for the timely resolution of credit balances by analyzing patient accounts for needed refunds or adjustments to patients or insurance carriers.

What you'll do:

  • Review and coordinate refunds for patients and/or insurance carriers

  • Extensive insurance follow-up with a wide variety of payers, including Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross, and major commercial carriers

  • Utilize your high-level understanding of medical accounts receivable to identify and work with insurance carriers

  • Other duties as assigned


What you'll bring to Zotec:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required

  • 1-3 years of experience in AR/Refunds preferred

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and physician billing processing

  • Must be fluent in reading EOBs

  • Experience with Radiology Billing is highly preferred

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to multi-task and be detail orientated

  • Experience in reviewing and coordinating refunds for patients and/or insurance carriers is helpful

  • Responsible for the timely completion of complex government and commercial payer enrollment applications for all states

  • Updating and maintaining all necessary documents for assigned clients and physicians

  • Ability to proficiently communicate credentialing related claims issues to client service managers, clients, and providers

  • Direct contact with clients for online portal implementation

What you'll do:

  • Monitor cZAR alerts and takes appropriate action

  • Follow up on cZAR alerts and confirm resolution

  • Monitor radiology, ED, and multi-specialty department charge flow

  • Track key performance indicators and ensure service level agreements are achieved

  • Communicate effectively and confidently with multiple levels within the organization

  • Communicate department job expectations, policies, and procedures to Charge Entry Representatives

  • Provide ongoing training and development to Charge Entry Representatives

As a Charge Entry Representative you will be responsible for monitoring data entry of patient demographics and charges, and reviewing accounts for additional information needed for billing. This is a fast-paced, heavy-volume position with room for advancement.

As a Claim Rejections Specialist, you will be responsible for directly supporting the needs of the medical billing/clearinghouse business. This position requires coordination across internal and external partners, including clients. You will be responsible for performing the appropriate steps or actions needed to reprocess rejected claims, complete inquiries with carriers to resolve issues and address inquiries from other departments.

What you'll do:

  • Research and resolve rejected claim filing issues

  • Submit corrected claims to appropriate carriers/clearinghouses

  • Communicate with internal partners and outside carriers/clearinghouses to research issues and gather information to resolve rejections

  • Respond with appropriate urgency when inquiries are received

  • Communicate identified issues with internal Zotec employees

  • Respond professionally to emails from management regarding client A/R issues

  • Review provider and client setups to identify and notify the appropriate team to correct the issue

  • Follow up on issues consistently until they are resolved

  • Utilize problem-solving, organizational, and priority management skills

As a Medical AR Specialist, you will be responsible for following up on claim rejections and denials, identifying billing issues, communicating with insurance companies for status on outstanding claims, working daily correspondence work files, processing and following up on appeals, and resolving correspondence issues.

Qualifications:

  • Medical billing experience working with an explanation of benefits (EOBs) and AR follow-up preferred

  • Experience in radiology billing is a plus

  • Strong willingness to learn

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel

  • Excellent communication and strong problem-solving, skills
