How You’ll Make an Impact

The Sr Manager of Client Computing will be responsible for the end-to-end service delivery for Service Desk & Field Services, User Platform Services, and Enterprise Collaboration areas. This role will be responsible for day-to-day coordination of managed service provider activities as it relates to end user computing and collaboration technology areas. This role will also have direct responsibility for services in support of all users and devices as it relates to end user computing and collaboration/productivity tools. In the role, you would be responsible for:

  • Working with key stakeholders in the business to set the strategic direction of how technology will be implemented; creating plans for the fiscal year that will meet short and longer term needs of the business.

  • Helping to create the IT Strategy and Roadmap, working closely with other areas of Valvoline IT and business groups.

  • Coordination and oversight of managed service provider in design and delivery of services in line with ITIL best practices.

  • Managing large, complex projects with respect to quality, cost and speed to include defining and analyzing requirements; developing/maintaining project plans and documentation; managing project budget, capital and expenses; managing quality through acceptance testing; and leading post project evaluation sessions.

  • Build Organizational Capability – Growing the capability of the organization by improving processes and approaches, and building organization knowledge in Information Technology. Grow the capability of direct reports through effective coaching.

  • Acting as an internal knowledge expert and strategic business partner, working collaboratively with respective teams, as well as other cross-company and cross-functional partners. Due to the nature of the work, the Manager must be able to manage complexity, think analytically and allocate time effectively between multiple priorities or functional areas.

  • Leading and directing team members and third-party resources by assigning/monitoring tasks and identifying/resolving issues to ensure all parties are on track with requirements, deadlines and schedules.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering, Science or Business Administration

  • Minimum seven years of experience in applying information technology solutions in a manufacturing or retail industry

  • Minimum three years (5+ preferred) of leadership experience within IT Operations

  • Relevant technical and process certifications (ITIL, HDI)

  • ITIL Foundation certification

  • Strong project management skills with a prior successful record of delivering large programs/projects

  • Leadership skills, including the ability to supervise, lead, coach, motivate and work through others to achieve desired results

  • Ability to manage complexity, think analytically and allocate time effectively between multiple priorities or functional areas

  • Experience and knowledge supporting multi-OS platforms (Windows, MAC, Mobile); physical devices and VDIs

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision

  • Must be professional, innovative, assertive and enjoy working with people; critical thinking, creativity, and independent judgment are expected

How You’ll Make an Impact The Federal Tax Accountant will support Valvoline’s Tax Manager on all aspects of the U.S. Federal income tax compliance process. Duties include preparation, review, and documentation of U.S. Federal income tax returns, and management of U.S. tax fixed asset ledger. Additionally, the position will assist in training and developing India tax team, and research and planning projects. In the role, you would be responsible for:

  • Support the accurate and timely filing of all federal tax returns, extension, and quarterly estimated tax payments and support the international, and state and local income tax processes when needed

  • Support preparation and recording of U.S. income tax provisions, including return-to-provision adjustments and valuation allowance analysis of deferred tax assets

  • Manage U.S. tax fixed asset ledger in SAP, partnering with Corporate Accounting and IT to make necessary adjustments

  • Assist with managing and training India tax team

  • Manage tax software administration – Corptax and Sharepoint

  • Identify areas to improve efficiency and accuracy in tax compliance

  • Assist with tax strategies and other projects

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum 5 years in corporate income tax (including ASC 740)

  • Experienced with Federal Income Tax Compliance, including ASC 740 and fixed assets

  • Advanced experience with Excel and intermediate with PowerPoint and Word

  • Experienced with Accounting System (e.g. SAP)and tax software (e.g. SharePoint, OneSource, and/or Corptax a plus)

  • Experienced with training and developing service center team

  • Strong oral and written communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills

  • Detail oriented and organizational skills

  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting or related field

How You’ll Make an Impact

The Credit & Collections Analyst handles transactional work with responsibilities which include, but are not limited to, the credit check and setting up of accounts for small, prospective customers; reviewing and addressing expired/over credit limits; and collections for assigned portfolio. In the role, you would be responsible for:

  • Contacting customers with past due accounts, initiating appropriate collection actions and maintaining records according to established procedures, in a manner that will result in maximum sales, sound receivables and prompt conversion of receivables into cash with minimum past dues. Daily review of SAP collection workflow and aging reports to facilitate collection of all past due customer receivables within assigned portfolio of commercial customer accounts.

  • Effectively managing an Accounts Receivable portfolio of small customer accounts in the $2-10 million range. Using Valvoline credit matrix and credit risk scoring models, complete risk analysis for determining assignment of credit limit for new customer accounts and renewal of credit limits for existing customer accounts up to $100,000. Update financial and trade information, when necessary. Utilize good decision making and sound judgement, within FAA $100,000 credit limit authority, following Valvoline North America Credit Policy and Procedures with strict confidentiality of customer data. Provide recommendation to Manager, Credit for account credit limits exceeding $100,000.

  • Reviewing customer accounts receivable to make credit decision to hold/release orders based upon status of the account within $100,000 FAA guidelines. Provide recommendations to Manager, Credit for holding/releasing of orders exceeding a $100,000 credit limit. Work closely with Sales, Customer Service and any other internal team in managing customer accounts. Defer to senior credit team members for assistance.

  • Communicating with customers via phone, fax or email to resolve open problem receivables; focusing on root cause analysis to identify trends in an effort to eliminate and solve customer issues.

  • Providing monthly credit reporting for assigned accounts. Ensure quality, accuracy and security of customer credit data. Participate in credit team projects.
