Role Summary

As a Project Manager in AI, you are responsible for the day-to-day management of one or more complex AI programs. This role requires class-leading customer engagement involving strong written and verbal communication skills. Collaboration with multiple locations and cross-functional teams will be key to maintaining and improving customer satisfaction, revenue, and margins.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Recognize customer needs and proactively focus on fulfilling these needs through innovative thinking and collaboration with internal technical, production, quality, and management teams.

  • Own and maintain project financials, including revenue recognition, revenue forecasting, and customer billing.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to initiate and implement procedural changes and customized workflows.

  • Review customer satisfaction regularly.

  • While working with our local and off-shore teams, plan and monitor projects to meet deadlines, quality, and budget requirements. Focus on continuous improvements and cost-saving measures.

  • Optimization through automation – provide innovative solutions to improve processes.

Minimum Requirements

  • 3 – 5 years of experience as a Project Manager, ideally in Machine Learning or a similar environment/domain.

  • Experience in crowd or data collection projects involving text, speech, image or video, is an advantage. Top-class communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • General knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning. Experience in managing global projects with an extended complexity.

  • Technical proficiency (including spreadsheets, Office tools, Google Suite). Fluency in English is a must.

  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-moving, rapidly changing environment. Experience in project financial management and budgeting.

  • This PM role may also manage Project Coordinator(s) assisting with projects.

Technical Lead Position Summary

TELUS International is looking for a Technical Lead to join our AI team!

As a Technical Lead on our TELUS AI team, you will provide strategic technical guidance to proactively improve the performance, reliability, security, and cost-effectiveness of customers’ solutions using industry best practices. The Technical Lead will be in charge of evaluating the work processed and implementing technology solutions to meet the business’s current and future needs. The ideal candidate encourages an environment that promotes customer service, excellence, innovation, collaboration, and teamwork.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Analyze customer data and ensure reporting compliance.

  • Implement constant efficiency improvement & problem-solving processes.

  • Lead technical innovation and automation for the services provided to customers.

Role Summary As an Operations Manager on our AI team, you will be responsible for managing customer relationships of defined global customers. You will own the overall financial health of the different accounts and work with your team and site leadership to improve all areas related to process people and technology. You will be a leader of a local/area team consisting of Program and Project Managers, Project Coordinators and other Team Members. With your active lead, you will coach and support your team and help drive excellence in project execution and continuous improvement of operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Personally engage with customers as a senior operational leader: understand customer business issues and lead area teams to execute on defined solutions across all service offerings.

  • Lead, coach, and support team of Program and Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and other Team Members. Track and monitor the performance of global delivery teams and external suppliers to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction, quality, and profitability.

  • Accountable for increasing organic program revenue, managing margin, and other KPIs.

  • Work with operations leadership to ensure customer satisfaction and implement continual process improvement, measurement/benchmarking, and automation across all lines of service delivery.

  • Manage and develop project management standards and methodologies. Responsible for a training program for new Project Management team members.

  • Responsible for operational revenue forecast and partners with the sales team on sales forecasting.

Primary Requirements

  • BA/BS required. Advanced business degree preferred.

  • 8-10 years experience in project management, program management, finance or marketing, in Machine Learning or similar environment/domain.

  • Experience in crowd and data collection projects involving text, speech, image or video, an advantage.

  • Experience with speech technology, market research or a machine-learning-related field.

  • Experience working with crowdsourcing platforms involving complex demographic requirements, a plus.

  • Strong knowledge of, and interest in, artificial intelligence and machine learning.

  • Strong project management and negotiation skills while working within established business priorities and constraints.

  • Requires extensive interpersonal skills, excellent business planning skills, cross-group coordination at all levels, business acumen, and the ability to work on several diverse projects at the same time.
