Home office no background noise

Any home office should have a door, to ensure a quiet place to get work done, in addition; your home office should be secure as you will be working with customer personal information. Customers should not hear the radio, TV, dog barking, doorbell ringing, kids crying etc. You always want to ensure the customer they have your full attention. Also, you want to get comfortable office furniture.

Most works from home jobs require, a hard-wired internet connection, desktop computer, proper headset, in addition; for best performance, you may also need an extra screen to utilize your multitasking skills.

Helpful tips: if you are buying a new computer best buy or office depot would be your best option. I wouldn’t buy anything less than Windows 10 intel corei5 or above or AMD a 10 or above.


Either should have at least 8gb of ram. Keep in mind not every work from home job will let you work on an Apple.

In our current isolation status, it might be good to find some of the items listed above on apps like offer-up, oodles, Let-go, recycler, eBay classified. just to name a few.

Work from home commute

Preparing yourself to work from home your mindset must be disciplined and focused. Get into a daily routine. Have breakfast, pray or meditate, shower, don’t work in your PJs. If you’re working with a work from home company review the instant messaging app while you’re drinking your coffee.

Make a to-do list

Making a to-do list will keep you on track. It can become challenging to remember every second of your workday. Prioritize what is most important.

Making a to-do list is easier than before utilizing Alexa, hey google, or Siri, if you don’t have either. Adding to your email calendar and adding notifications will also help.

Set multiple alarms and time zones

The beauty of working from home is you can talk to customers around the US and the world. You can set up to two different time displays on your computer. Setting multiple time zones will help you stay on time. For example, I live in EST but my job is CST. I never miss my scheduled work time; schedule drop or meetings because I have t different times zone set up. You can also search for world time apps or website then save it in a folder for easy access.

Take short breaks

For the best productivity breaks are necessary. Walk stretch, drink some water, go get the mail, take the dog for a walk. Breaks are necessary to feel relaxed and revitalized. Taking short breaks help with creativity and productivity.

Stay off social media

Like most people, social media apps can be our greatest resource, one the other hand social media is the biggest time stealer. All you need is to get a notification that your favorite celebrity has just died to ruin your day and your productivity level. Now you feel like you’re missing something. You want to mourn in real-time like everyone else right??? Nope don’t do it. I don’t even set up notifications on my desktop. They will still m=be died when you get off. When working nothing is more important than the task at hand. Stay focused

Learn video chat forum and instant messaging

In a virtual work, upper management and supervisors use different video chat or instant messaging forum. Be familiar with all of them, at the very least you should know how to send and receive an email instant chat message etc. Many times, instant chat and video calling will be the same forum. Download each and create groups for family members to get the hang of it.

Avoid family friends and pets

This can be difficult if you live with others, but it can be done

Have set work hours, put a sign on your office door and home door. Adding your expectations while working. Include work hours and breaks
