Openly is looking for an Agent Relationship Specialist as Openly expands its Agent Experience team. This role will play a critical role in ensuring both customers and agency partners remain highly engaged Openly supporters.

The Agent Relationship Specialist provides exceptional service via phone, email, and chat to our Agents and Policyholders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure agents continue to view Openly as a best-in-class homeowner insurance provider by addressing business questions timely, accurately, and with empathy

  • Assist with solving, identifying, or escalating underwriting and technology questions

  • Gain a deep understanding of Openly's product offerings and have the ability to educate customers when contacted

  • Problem solves and addresses complex, nuanced customer scenarios

  • Accurately process policy endorsement and customer requests

  • Represent the customer when identifying internal process improvement opportunities to the rest of the Openly team

  • Enhance the customer and agent experience by ensuring billing accuracy and execution regularly

  • Partner with the Product team to complete home inspection reviews and schedule item appraisal reviews to ensure coverage accuracy

  • Partner with the sales team to identify new potential agencies that could partner with Openly and initiate appointment discussions

  • Support the sales team with the agent appointment process (as needed)

  • Partner with the marketing team to improve agency penetration with marketing support

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a customer success or customer support capacity, call center, or agency experience is a bonus

  • Has an insurance background in either an independent or exclusive agency setting and Is licensed in one's domiciled state as a personal lines producer.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written, including excellent phone skills and listening skills. Extra points for Spanish language skills.

  • Be adept and effective at communicating with agents across all communication mediums. Openly offers web chat, email, and phone.

  • A high degree of technical proficiency with online tools and systems; familiarity with Google Suite, Talkdesk, and Zendesk is a plus.

  • Self-starter mentality with strong time-management skills

  • Extraordinary problem-solving abilities, intellectual curiosity, and a genuine interest in learning new processes and working with new tools in a fast-paced startup

  • Ability to work either 8:30 am – 5:00 pm or 11:00 - 8:00 EST

Job Details

Our team is searching for an Operations Support Assistant to play a vital role in records quality control. This ideal person will be held responsible for a five-week data migration project integral to our success. Completing this project will enable us to consistently support our Sales team and network of agents to maintain compliance procedures within their state. At this time, there is no permanent opportunity available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Migrate agent-specific documents into new compliance system

  • Carefully review existing documents for information before migration

  • Collaborate cross-functionally by leveraging internal departments and resources to acquire any missing information for successful document migration

  • Send requests for documents as necessary and update the compliance system

We are seeking a Data Scientist to design and evolve our core research and model delivery capabilities. You will be integral to establishing our team’s technical workflow - and as the resident data science/engineering expert, we will look to you to explore and integrate new tools and techniques. As a member of our Research Team, this highly impactful role offers the opportunity to take the lead on Agent-Platform Behavior projects. This role offers the candidate the opportunity to work in a cross-functional environment and interact with business leaders across Technology and Operations within the company. We are looking for a self-motivated, high-energy individual who can happily function in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and deployment of Agent-Platform Behavior analytics/models.

  • Design data-driven frameworks and capabilities that enable us to understand the behavior and experience of agents on our platform.

  • Develop efficient/automated processes to support the analytical frameworks/capabilities described above.

  • Collaborate with our Operations and Technology teams to integrate learnings/solutions into our business operations and platform.

  • Drive towards an eventual predictive modeling/AI solution. Establish the necessary operational process and data foundations initially and iterate the system as data becomes available.

Key Requirements

  • 2+ years of work experience in data science/predictive analytics or master’s degree or higher in mathematics, statistics, or another quantitative/analytically rigorous discipline.

  • Proficient in retrieving, manipulating, and structuring production data using SQL. Experience with PostgreSQL and Standard SQL/BigQuery is a plus.

  • Strong in either Python or R. Ability to design and develop a data science workflow with the language of choice.

  • Experience applying data science techniques to real-world prediction, diagnostic, and model validation problems. Ability to identify the statistical methods (e.g. GLM, XGBoost, K-means clustering, etc.) best suited to solve a business need.

  • Experience developing efficient/automated processes.

Job Details

Openly is looking to build out its financial reporting and controls team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to execute best practices in accounting, reporting, and controls functions and identify and implement improvements in existing processes. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a high-growth company and prior experience in insurance accounting and financial reporting. This role will report to the Sr. Director – Financial Reporting & Controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce financial reporting packages, including the accounting and preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements in US GAAP and Statutory basis and internal financial reporting dashboard and presentations.

  • Perform accounting close functions, including reconciliations, consolidations, accrual processes, and cash accounting.

  • Support tax and audit processes.

  • Support the implementation of a new general ledger.

  • Perform the implementation and testing of internal controls over financial reporting.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and corporate policies, regulations, and laws.

  • Evaluate current accounting practices and policies and drives continuous improvement

Requirements

Candidates are required to be analytical and display thoughtful business judgment. The candidate should be a self-starter with a strong work ethic who is highly results-oriented, inquisitive, and enjoys problem-solving with minimal structure.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and 3-5 years of related experience

  • Experience in the insurance industry required, both GAAP and Statutory Reporting

  • CPA required

  • Fluency in Microsoft Office suite and GL applications

  • Proven track record of implementing improvements to accounting processes and developing efficient/automated processes.

  • Work with other team members to effectively operationalize campaign opportunities indicated by data analysis

Openly is hiring a Senior Business Intelligence Consultant to join the Corporate Development & Strategy team. This manager-level, individual contributor role will be responsible for independently leading enterprise-wide data initiatives, standardizing & incorporating new data sources, designing data models, building out cutting edge visualizations, and pushing forward business-intelligence best practices. The role is responsible for partnering with the business to support cutting edge analysis, ensure data accuracy & consistency, and working cross-functionally to be the lead data resource on various projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently lead broad data initiatives to incorporate new data sources into the data warehouse with optimized data models.

  • Work directly with senior leadership to provide support for advanced analytics & initiatives.

  • Partner with the data scientists to surface predictive insights to the broader business

  • Help architect the BI strategy - evaluate tools and technologies and provide recommendations to the enterprise.

  • Work with cutting-edge cloud technologies to build out “single source of truth” data sources for the enterprise - be on the ground floor of our data model designs.

  • Advise various business areas and consult to ensure that as new technologies are incorporated, data & reporting concerns are addressed early in the process.
