START DATE 09/13 Pay - $15 and $15.50 100% Remote Equipment provided Customer Service Representative - Austin, TX Pay Rate: $15.00-English $15.50-Spanish Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday Responsibilities: -Responsible for interacting with customers to provide information in response to inquiries about programs and services in a contact center. -Respond to customer inquiries received by telephone, Interactive Voice Response (IVR), or web-based portal regarding the information on programs and services. -Record customer interactions and transactions, by documenting details of inquiries, complaints, comments, and actions taken. -Follow standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy. -Address customer inquiries and resolve problems to ensure that appropriate changes are made. -Refer unresolved customer grievances to designated departments for further investigation. -Communicate with supervisor regarding any potential needs or concerns. -Perform data entry accurately. -Perform other duties as assigned by management.

  • Answer incoming calls from consumers including the public, prospective enrollees, and people assisting enrollees or acting on their behalf in accordance with all performance standards, policy and procedures, and protocols including but not limited to the confidentiality and privacy policies.

  • Track and document all inquiries using the applicable systems.

  • Answer incoming calls from consumers and providers requesting information about the Medicaid Newborn process, Good Cause, and/or Presumptive Eligibility for children.

  • Complete associated tasks according to the established guidelines.

  • Track and document all inquiries using the applicable systems.

  • Meet Quality Assurance (QA) and other key performance metrics.

  • Facilitate the fulfillment of caller requests for materials via mail, email, or download.

  • Transfer/refer consumers to appropriate entities according to the established guidelines.

  • Escalate calls or issues to the appropriate designated staff for resolution as needed.

  • Facilitate translation services for non-English speaking callers according to procedures. Attend meetings and training as requested and maintain up-to-date knowledge of all programs and systems.

  • Qualifications:

    • High school diploma required

    • An associate degree is preferred

    • Must be able to obtain an MHBE permit

    • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills

    • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment

    • Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently

    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and security of all information

    • Ability to comply with current and updated policies and procedures

    • Ability to interact courteously and effectively with a diverse population

JOB DETAILS & REQUIRMENT

  • Use the appropriate designated work instructions, and other instructions, to execute critical and routine tasks.

  • Retrieve documents and data from authorized, data bases to perform routine tasks that may include data entering new information, validation of data, corrections or updates to existing information, and documentation of findings.

  • Accurately data enters all appropriate information in multiple eligibility and tracking systems.

  • Follow extensive work instructions and prescribed department procedures to make timely and accurate selections in the processing of transactions.

  • Determine if an image requires an appointment to be rescheduled.

  • Meet individual and unit performance goals and standards as defined by management.

  • Attend and successfully completes job related and industry specific systems and policy training as required to perform the duties of the position.

  • Review and analyze discrepancies in data received, requests clarification and effectively raises queries to the team supervisor to resolve uncertainties and questions that arise from executing the task.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

  • Experience working in a health or human services call center

  • Knowledge of the community to be served

  • Ability to follow directions
