Background Details

The Life and Annuity Operations team will provide you with four weeks of paid training where you will gain knowledge and skills in a diverse amount of life insurance products. You will also receive ongoing training, coaching, and development to perform in this fast-paced environment.

As a Life Customer Care Associate, you will serve as the first point of contact for our life insurance customers (i.e. policyholders, beneficiaries, financial professionals, etc.). You will be responsible for answering inbound calls where you’ll be addressing customer service inquiries and concerns. You will build rapport with and educate our customers about their life insurance policies while using technology and multiple resources. What you’ll be doing

  • Communicate with roughly 40-50 customers throughout the day, answering questions and providing accurate information regarding their life insurance policy through the utilization of multiple applications and platforms.

  • Work in a fast-paced, structured, team-oriented environment with a diverse group of employees focused on meeting the needs of the company and our customers through problem resolution.

  • Perform research to respond to customer inquiries and document customer interactions in the appropriate systems.

  • Identifies, recommends, and champions process improvements and organizational initiatives to positively influence the team and quality.

  • Maintain customer confidentiality while complying with privacy regulations and meeting or exceeding internal quality and service standards. Works overtime as needed, potentially on short notice, during peak volume times to maintain those service standards.

S/he will process increasingly complex claims ensuring the fair, ethical and timely processing of assigned claims.

Duties and Responsibilities Applies expanded knowledge obtained from the role in increasingly more complex situations and continues to acquire more knowledge to apply in role. Delivers routine work independently, in accordance with established procedures and guidelines, in a timely manner and meets deadlines appropriately. Ensures the accuracy and completeness of submitted claims. Escalates claims issues/concerns to senior team members and/or management.
