  • During the first 6-8 weeks of training, your schedule will be Mon-Fri, (9-5:30 pm CT).

  • During the subsequent 12 weeks of onboarding, your hours will remain the same. One weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) will be required with an alternate day off mid-week.

  • After onboarding is completed and your transition to your regular position, your schedule will start between the hours of 12:00 pm and 2:30 pm. Weekend shift starting times typically vary between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm (based on your assigned site’s hours of operations). One weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) will be required with an alternate day off mid-week.

  • You can expect to work this schedule for a minimum of 9 months before consideration for another shift.

Responsible for the investigation, evaluation, and disposition of complex casualty cases on assignment, which may include an established portion of the office/team workload and/or individual assigned cases that present moderate to high exposure or complex coverage or liability issues. Candidates residing remotely will be considered with the right experience, however, the ideal candidate will reside near one of our Eastern Hub locations. This position is eligible for up to a $2,500 sign-on bonus for candidates with an active adjuster’s license. Responsibilities:

  • Manages, investigates, and resolves claims. Investigates and evaluates coverage, liability, damages, and settles claims within prescribed authority levels.

  • Recommends ultimate resolution on assigned cases in excess of their authority to local claims management and Home Office.

  • Identifies potential suspicious claims and refers to SIU and identifies opportunities for third-party subrogation.

  • Prepares for and attends trials, hearings, and conferences and reports to Home Office and local management on status.

  • Confers with trial counsel and prepares trial reports.

  • Communicates with policyholders, witnesses, and claimants in order to gather information regarding claims refer tasks to auxiliary resources as necessary and advises as to the proper course of action.

  • Responds to various written and telephone inquiries including status reports.

  • Ensures adequacy of reserves.

  • Recommends reserve increases on cases in excess of authority.

  • Accountable for security of financial processing of claims, as well as security information contained in claims files.

  • Responsible for managing the practices and billing activities of outside and in-house counsel.

  • May assist in the absence of the Claims Team Manager, representing the company on matters involving state or federal regulatory agencies.

  • May be involved in special projects and/or mentoring at the direction of local management.

In addition to the responsibilities below, you will:

  • Develops analyses and models based on complex data for a particular business unit/function.

  • Quantifies the competitive performance of the business, evaluates potential operational changes, and designs new approaches and methodologies to solve business problems or improve analytical efficiency.

  • Produces meaningful observations/recommendations through synthesizing data from internal/external sources.

  • Leads own work stream and may manage research projects of moderate to high complexity.

  • Conducts analytical work which directly impacts profitability, growth, and/or customer satisfaction outcomes.

  • Presents findings/recommendations and leads discussions with senior leadership (VP/SVP) at the department or functional level.

  • Serves as a resource to less experienced analysts

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts research within Liberty Mutual and/or externally to obtain information such as financial data, product or market profiles, or business process flows.

  • Works with other departments, conduct interviews, or conduct primary or secondary research if information is not readily available.

  • Compiles information and analyzes qualitatively and/or quantitatively, developing software applications/models and conducting follow up and data verification as needed.

  • Analyze feasibility, cost ramifications, economies, or other aspects of planned or potential programs.

  • Based on analysis, develops reports, proposals for action or implementation plans as necessary and presents supervisor or manager.

  • Communicates with other departments as necessary.

  • Works with other departments to coordinate interdepartmental activities in order to ensure that Liberty meets customer expectations.

As a member of the Inside Property Fast Path Team, you will play a vital role in providing an outstanding customer experience by using your investigative and negotiation skills to resolve a variety of homeowner claims in a fast paced, detail-oriented, team environment. This position is open due to internal mobility. Responsibility:

  • Investigate and determine coverage of loss and adjusts all elements of routine Property Loss claims.

  • Write appraisals for dwelling repairs of routine claims based on information collected from customers and contractors and issues payment to policyholders where possible. May work with a Liberty network contractor in the appraisal process.

  • Explain coverage of loss, assists policyholders with itemization of damages, emergency repairs and additional living arrangements.

  • Work with and may coordinate a number of vendor services such as contractors, emergency repair, cleaning services and various replacement services.

  • Identify suspicious losses. Recommend referral to the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) where appropriate and may assist the SIU in their investigation and disposition of the claim.

  • May be called upon for catastrophe duty.


Responsibilities:

  • Supports the communication of and alignment to the product vision. May also contribute to the definition of the product vision.

  • Supports the use of product level KPIs to drive product decisions. Assists in collecting KPI data and/or reinforcing their use in product decisions.

  • Supports creating and maintaining the backlog (including prioritization, and acceptance criteria) in partnership with the TBM manager and Technology Finance Operational Team.

  • Contributes to squad/team quarterly planning and sets expectations for delivery of new capabilities, features, and functionalities.

  • Participates in squad/team demos, retrospectives, and all other ceremonies.

  • With guidance, works daily with the Agile working group, clarifying business requirements, removing roadblocks, constantly communicating, and supporting alignment around product strategy.

  • Monitors and maintains the product health, supporting long-term product viability and efficiency. 

  • May analyze feasibility, cost of delay ramifications, economies, and other aspects of planned or potential changes to the product.

  • Conducts research into regulatory, compliance and other industry constraints on the product. Negotiates with squads/teams within the portfolio to ensure priorities are aligned during a sprint.

  • Supports building the product roadmap at the squad/team level based on strategy and ongoing input from stakeholders.

  • Partners across the organization, coordinates priorities and activities to ensure delivery of expected customer value.
