A Tax Expert Lead is responsible for providing live support for our Tax Expert agents.

What you'll bring

Must possess active credentials:

  • EA (Enrolled Agent) or

  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or

  • Practicing Attorney with strong tax preparation experience

3 or more years of recent experience preparing federal and state individual 1040 tax returns for clients/customers, using commercial tax preparation software

2+ year’s leadership experience

Completed at least a full season in FY20 as a Tax Expert agent

Extensive knowledge of tax laws

In-depth understanding of tax concepts and processes

Experience using major tax preparation software; experience with electronic filing

Experience preparing federal and state returns either individual (1040) required and business (1120, the 1120S, 1065, 1041) a plus

Experience providing support in a technical PC environment



The Live Expert Service Desk Supervisor’s role is to oversee the Service Desk staff and ensure that end-users are receiving the appropriate assistance. This includes the responsibility of managing all procedures related to the identification, prioritization, and resolution of end-user help requests, including the monitoring, tracking, and coordination of Service Desk functions.


The Service Desk Supervisor will also contribute to problem resolution by providing the Manager and Lead with trends to escalate to partner teams.

Overview

You’ll advance our goal of “Powering Prosperity Around the World” by providing expert guidance and explanations of tax and technical terms to our customers. You’ll also play an important role in our effort to enhance our brand by delighting our customers and empowering them to prepare their taxes.


As a Tax Associate with Intuit, you'll work directly with our customers to answer simple tax questions to help them prepare their returns. You'll have access to our virtual tools and resources, as well as opportunities to collaborate with experts and provide updates on assigned customers

  • Minimum 3 seasons of paid Tax Preparation experience, with a minimum of 30 tax returns per tax year required

  • Prior tax preparation experience in a tax practice or retail setting required

  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to empathize and instill confidence

  • Ability/motivation to expand expertise and obtain a tax credential or certification - Intuit offers a program to obtain your EA

  • Knowledge of tax laws, tax concepts, and familiarity with form 1040 and schedules

  • PTIN required
