$18 an hour, contract to hire role.

Schedule: Monday- Friday. The flexibility of working hours between 8 am – 8 pm EST


Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years prior experience is preferred in customer-facing. Desire 3 years experience in a call center environment.


The Customer Service Representative receives, evaluates, and answers customer inquiries in a timely manner. This position is responsible for enhancing each customer's relationship with First Advantage services by providing support assistance with the application, technical, and business process inquires within First Advantage applications to maximize total value. Answer inbound calls while contributing to the ongoing enhancement of shared knowledge content and promoting the overall value of First Advantage. Strong organizational skills, analysis, high attention to detail, effective time management, solid decision-making skills, and effective problem solving are all key components of this role.


Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:

  • Domain/industry knowledge related to the specific First Advantage services being supported may be required. Specific educational and/or experience requirements to demonstrate such knowledge are determined by the business unit

  • Prior experience with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and ISPs required and prior Customer Care and/or background services work-related experience preferred

  • Ability to work in a logical flow to isolate causes of problems and determine potential solutions

  • Ability to multi-task (type notes into CRM while assisting customers via phone; work within multiple screens and platforms while assisting customers and/or researching issues; handle up to three concurrent chats, etc)

  • Confident ability to restate or rephrase questions to verify consistent comprehension of a problem

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and perform multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

  • Ability to quickly connect with people, establish a rapport, express empathy, and project confidence

  • Prior experience with Microsoft Office (excel, word, and outlook)

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Passion and enthusiasm for delivering an extraordinary customer experience

  • Effectively communicate in a clear and concise manner.

Requirements:

2-4 years prior experience in a customer-facing or call center environment

Work from home experience a plus

Must have a quiet, secure workspace

High-speed internet (minimum of 50 Mbps)

Dedicated to excellent attendance and punctuality

Proven oral and written communication skills

Proficient computer navigation and troubleshooting

Schedule Needs:

Monday—Friday. No weekend shifts! Operation hours 8:00 am to 8:00 pm EST.

Voluntary opportunities for overtime

Shifts change 3-4 times per year and are awarded based on preference and performance. Starting shift times vary between 8:00 am and 11:30 am EST.

Training is paid 4-5 weeks with a set schedule of 9:00 am -5:00 pm EST, with post training schedule provided upfront to help you plan ahead.

The Senior Application Specialist reports to the VP IT Operations and is responsible for ensuring application performance and availability meet and exceed business requirements. This position also provides On-Call support to lead recovery efforts for Incidents with a major impact on Operations and External Clients. This resource also supports the CJIS environment and is part of a rotation supporting production releases and unplanned outage restoration.


Position Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science preferred. Technical certifications a significant plus.

  • 10 + years of experience in IT Operations support

  • 7 + years of experience supporting Linux and Windows Server Administration, SQL and MySQL Database Administration (including scripting, creating and running queries and performing data analysis) , SFTP, VMWare/VSphere, Rest API, Integrations, JBOSS, Apache/Tomcat, Java, Scripting.

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must be eligible for CJIS certification

  • Ability to lead technical bridge calls with multiple technical subject matter experts towards the goal of restoring service as quickly as possible.

  • Ability to follow procedures under stressful conditions

  • Understanding of Windows and Unix Server Administration, Storage and Virtualization Technologies

  • Strong Written and Oral Communications Skills

  • Basic knowledge of Cisco networking Technologies, Windows and Unix Server Administration, storage and Virtualization technologies
