  • Quotes sells and books premium Analyze, clarify and resolve complex policy and account-related questions from external customers.

  • Reviews insurance risks and communicates with appropriate personnel to obtain underwriting approval.

Job Summary Provides expertise in the design and functionality of business applications; Understands customers business processes and products and how best they can be supported by the application systems; Reviews and validates application technical design provided by the supplier to ensure alignment with business requirements; Performs quality review checks on project deliverables; Validates suppliers estimates; Estimates Rough Order of Magnitude for new application functionality; Supports the implementation activities, troubleshooting user/system environmental issues, and training as required.


Essential Job Functions

Evaluates and classify individual applications and benefits up to $3,500,000. Refers applications over assigned authority limit to Chief Underwriting Officer or Underwriting Management for co-signing with recommendation for rating level or decline.

Consults with the medical director on those applications that, in the underwriter's judgment, require additional medical evaluation. Evaluates and classifies rate reconsideration, reinstatements, and other policy changes requiring underwriting approval. Understand compliance and regulatory landscape within the scope of underwriting. Assist in training of underwriters and other company representatives including development and presentation of case studies and relevant underwriting topics when requested.


Job Summary Responsible for managing the overall execution of projects primarily focusing on quality, cost, and schedule. These projects involve significant return and risk to the Company, have approved budgets (IT and Business combined), include multiple functions/departments, involve significant IT efforts, impact Agents and customers (directly or indirectly), contain complex business, legal or regulatory issues, and have a project duration of 12 months. Typical Departments/Teams involved in the execution of these programs are diverse and can include the Personal Lines Business Unit (Auto/Fire Product Management, Program Management, and Business Engineering, Operations/Service Centers and Customer Advocacy),IT (Development, Quality Assurance, LAN/WAN, PLA, and Legacy), Consultants/Contractors, Agencies, State Offices, Corporate Communications, Legal, Regulatory Affairs, Claims, and Corporate Risk Management.

Job Summary A Bristol West Liability Claims Representative will take part in ongoing training which includes training in claims investigation, liability determination, coverage confirmation, establishing damages, and negotiation of a claims settlement. Using claims systems to accurately document files, you will manage a diary and handle first and third-party auto claims promptly, proactively, and with a sense of urgency.


Essential Job Functions

  • Responsibilities include working in an electronic claim file environment handling auto claims within designated authority;

  • Securing essential facts about accidents, negotiating settlements, and explaining denials to policyholders;

  • Review of pending claims, managing diaries, updating claims files, executing on outstanding items and moving files to closure through the use of established procedures and job aids while navigating multiple computer applications.

  • Inspects damaged property and vehicles, and determines claims related damage;

  • Estimates the cost of repair or replacement of damaged or stolen property and vehicles;

  • Determines and reports on subrogation potential; Reports theft, fraud, and arson losses as required to state and industry.

  • Personal contacts are a major part of the activity and include policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, repair facilities, contractors, police and fire departments, state and county fraud and arson personnel, special investigators, attorneys, expert witnesses, members of the medical profession and all other persons incident to the investigation and processing of claims.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.



The selected candidate will work with new Farmers agents and other stakeholders within the state of Alabama; however, please know we are open to candidates who reside in the greater Nashville, TN or Atlanta, GA areas. This position comes with a company vehicle.


About the role... Responsible for new agent performance within assigned geography from reserve contract to the first three months of a new agent’s career. Serves as the primary contact for agents during this period for marketing, sales service, products, and storefront. Promotes overall company value proposition and assists agents drive early results by consulting on products, services, and technology to achieve new agents' objectives. Collaborates with key stakeholders in the local area and home office to report and monitor agency progress toward key onboarding milestones. Coordinates new agent appointment contract requirements and administration with local recruiting and sales teams.


Education needed... High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Must obtain Property/Casualty, Life (and Health if applicable) licenses within 6 months.


Experience needed... 1-3 years working in an insurance-related role required. 1-3 years experience with agency licensing and contracting and FIG system and processes required. 3-5 years prior sales experience a plus, including 5 years with Sales, Operations, and/or Marketing exposure or comparable experience preferred.

**This is a one-year contract position.**

Essential Job Functions

  • Receives requests from the Claims Adjusters, Farmers Claims handlers, and/or legal representatives to determine file review needs of complex Claims from various lines of business.

  • This includes addressing medical questions, assessing time-sensitive deadline demands by which the requestor may need medical reports, reviewing as well as analyzing medical records and other relevant documents (e.g. deposition transcripts, accident reports, photographs etc.), and conducts necessary research in order to properly assess injuries alleged for each claimant involved.

  • Completes the review of claims as it relates to alleged injury, treatment of injury, and future treatment to provide claims handler and/or defense attorney with medical analysis/medical explanation of injury.

  • Provides litigation support to Farmers Claims handlers and/or Legal representatives through the review of complex Claims files for multiple lines of business in order to properly assess alleged injuries from claimants involved.
