Essential Job Functions

Evaluates and classify individual applications and benefits up to $3,500,000. Refers applications over assigned authority limit to Chief Underwriting Officer or Underwriting Management for co-signing with recommendation for rating level or decline. Consults with the medical director on those applications that, in the underwriter's judgment, require additional medical evaluation. Evaluates and classifies rate reconsideration, reinstatements, and other policy changes requiring underwriting approval. Understand compliance and regulatory landscape within the scope of underwriting. Assist in training of underwriters and other company representatives including development and presentation of case studies and relevant underwriting topics when requested.

    • Be Willing to work extended hours and weekends virtually from their home office in front of the computer and on the phone

  • Experience Typical deployment times of 21 days 10-12+ hours a day with possible need for double deployment either virtually or in the field depending on business needs

Essential Job Functions

  • Reviews document image to ensure appropriate image quality/all pages scanned correctly and requests rescan of a document when necessary.

  • Reorients and reorders document pages as needed.

  • Ensures that copies of envelopes are included with documents when needed for regulatory compliance.

  • Uses established guidelines and/or judgment to determine appropriate document type and necessary indexing fields.

  • Splits original documents into multiple child documents as needed to facilitate downstream claim processes.

  • Determines correct Company, Line of Business, Claim System, and claim(s) to file the document against.

  • Identifies document exceptions and routes to 1 of the 15 exception handling queue based on established business rules.

  • Maintains knowledge base through reviewing published reference materials, attending refresher training, reviewing training tips, and applying coaching feedback from a designated mentor, Performance Coach, and/or Supervisor/Manager.

Essential Job Functions

• Qualified candidate must have 4+ years of software development experience in Web development and Web technologies. • Exhibit a good understanding of modern JavaScript SPA frameworks like Angular 7 (ideally) or Angular best practices • Extensive working experience building web applications using JavaScript, HTML/HTML5, CSS3, JQuery. • Build web pages using MVC framework and building components using Ajax, JQuery, Object Oriented (OO) JavaScript, JSON, and XML. • Expert knowledge in CSS3 (Less or SASS) and HTML5 (AppCache, local storage, Geolocation, SQLite, Device Capabilities access). • Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc. • Working experience in interfacing with SOAP / REST APIs / Web services. • Experience with version control tools – Git namely and familiar with modern front-end build pipelines and tools. • Experienced in the handling of extracting and manipulating complex data relationships utilizing document-oriented data structures and configuring these data sets for optimal processing • Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token, OAuth etc. • Passion for peer review – participate in and conduct design and code reviews • Proven understanding of Agile development methodologies • Basic Knowledge in Accessibility Testing Tools & Processes Prevalent with Accessibility standards (WCAG, ADA, DD etc.) and guidelines • Ability to learn AWS serverless architectures utilizing Amazon’s AWS stack: Cloudfront, Lambda, S3, Route 53, Cognito, Elastic Search, Aurora, Athena


About the role...

Functions as strategic assistant to Area Sales Manager within Territory Offices for Distribution. Assists in the development of Area strategies and charged with the execution of key metrics within Territory initiatives, including new agent appointments, profitability, market development, agent productivity, and succession planning.

What you'll accomplish...

Agency Development - Responsible for facilitating all aspects of the new agent appointment process, which may include forecasting, agent placement, onboarding, and agent success. Agent Accountability - Trend analysis and early detection of agent business results, including conducting initial investigations of potential contact violations, managing underwriting alerts, life early lapse indicator follow-up, and target agents' Underwriting Quality Index performance. Agent Placement - The expert in Area for all things related to brand standards, including SMART office. Charged with working with District and Agent offices for updates on progress toward SMART office certification, manage the audit process, follow-up on urgent issues, and work with ASM on agent's new office location approval process. Area Analytics - Work with TFM and provide weekly key performance reports and trend analysis at agent and district level within an Area, including A-Clubs, Leaderboard, Agency Growth Model and District Growth Model. NPS - Through the ASM, manages follow-up on detractor comments and provides resolution to agent and customer as necessary. Also, provide agents and DMs feedback on all promoter reviews. Budget - Manage budget within an area, including agency promotions and travel of all Area employees

Education needed...

High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience needed...

Five Years with Farmers or comparable industry experience

Must secure P&C and LIfe (as well as Accident & Health) licenses within 6 months.
