Product Manager, Web - 100% remote

In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape the vision and drive the execution of Celo’s core web properties. You will be responsible for owning the product management process from planning, executing, to delivering experiences on digital properties. You will have the opportunity to shape and grow within the role.

You Will

  • Own the full product cycle for web properties across various audiences (Consumer, Business, Developer) including celo.org, clubs.co, valoraapp.com, and celoreserve.org: from research and ideation through to launch and ongoing performance analysis

  • Be an internal expert on key stakeholder(s) of Celo including end-users, builders, developers, and CELO owners

We’re looking for a content creator and leader with a passion for crypto who understands how to develop creative and engaging content to reach key audiences. As the head of social media for cLabs you will be responsible for driving the strategy and execution of a robust social media program geared toward increasing engagement, driving awareness and growing the adoption of Celo. As a creator of content and social, you will pave the way for Celo’s voice and brand online, pairing art, science, and creativity to grow the Celo community, build strong Influencer relationships, and scale operations globally. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong vision for building and activating a diverse community of crypto natives and those new to the space.


You Will:

  • Develop and implement strategies to grow Celo’s online communities (including influencer relationships), scale operations, and increase engagement/loyalty in alignment with company priorities.

  • Partner with Celo Foundation employees and the broader Celo community to write, edit, and ship content in line with Celo’s brand voice for Twitter, Instagram, Linked In and occasionally the corporate blog.

  • Lead the internal social media team and manage agencies that support Celo’s overall social media efforts.

The team at Celo is looking for a Head of Marketing with an entrepreneurial spirit to oversee the strategy and execution of marketing programs for the company, its strategic partners, and the global builder community. The Head of Marketing will work in partnership with the CMO and senior leadership to develop and execute an integrated marketing strategy designed to create global awareness and adoption of the Celo community and technology and build a world-class in-house team to execute against it. The role spans the entire Celo ecosystem, including cLabs, the Celo Foundation, third-party organizations building on the Celo platform, and relevant industry partners and leaders Experience and/or a genuine interest in crypto/blockchain technologies, developer communities, and decentralized finance are a strong plus.

You Will:

  • Clearly define and execute an integrated marketing strategy to create global awareness and adoption of the Celo community, technology, and assets.

  • Help build and grow the team responsible for all critical aspects of marketing, including but not limited to product, growth, lifecycle, partner, exchange, and content marketing.

  • Drive implementation and execution of marketing strategies and tactics to achieve, measure and scale key results assets on a quarterly basis.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to solidify Celo’s audience segmentation work, prioritize key audiences, and translate that work into a strategy that ensures Celo’s owned channels, campaigns and assets meet the needs and expectations of a diverse set of key audiences.

You Have:

  • A minimum of 12+ years of relevant work experience in a marketing function.

This senior position would report to the General Counsel and lead the Company’s government relationship management, political affairs, and public policy advocacy with federal and state governmental agencies and other stakeholders. This role will also partner closely with other Company leaders including the CEO, General Counsel, and our Head of Communications, along with other cross-functional groups, to ensure that our external affairs work for the company is cohesive, holistic, and aligned with the strategic and operational needs of the business. Necessary experience and skills include critical thinking in the development and provision of political and public policy analyses and the provision of strategic counsel, strong and effective written and oral communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to lead while seamlessly and collegially partnering with internal and external teammates.


You Will:

  • Track and analyze federal and state policy issues impacting the Celo ecosystem and blockchain development, crafting appropriate public policy campaigns in collaboration with legal, compliance, and communications teams.

  • Engage with government officials, staff, and regulatory agencies to promote the Celo ecosystem and blockchain development.

  • Build strategic partnerships with external stakeholders including advocacy groups, trade groups (e.g., the Blockchain Association) and global thought leaders.

  • Identify and manage external consultants to deliver defined political and policy objectives.

  • Serve as a thought leader and respected representative in the external community for Celo at conferences and forums, promoting decentralized technologies, innovation, strategic vision, and public policy points of view.

  • Establish and manage a corporate political action committee (PAC) and manage strategic dissemination of PAC funds with oversight from the Celo community.

  • Support compliance with applicable laws and regulations regarding government advocacy.

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, master's or law degree preferred.

  • Business experience with technology and financial services.

  • Understanding of blockchain technology.

  • Knowledge and experience in U.S. and state governmental and public policy affairs are required, with government experience as it pertains to financial services and technology.
