Responsibilities:

  • Respond to and resolve issues encountered by clients and customers in a timely and positive manner. This involves mostly inbound calls; however, may also include outbound calls, email, fax, and chat.

  • Ensure that all customer requests are responded to in a timely manner and meaningful solutions and implemented.

  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of our products, clients, systems, and applications

  • Ensure compliance with internal/external audits and contractual obligations.

  • Adjust and document all claims while ensuring compliance with all Department of Insurance Regulations

  • Process claims with accuracy to confirm coverage by reviewing all available tools including contract and web-based applications to resolve complex issues and refer any issues as necessary to senior-level adjusters or supervisor

  • Adjudicate claims with accuracy by working directly with the repair facility, inspection, parts vendors, and multiple other resources to ensure proper claims adjudication within departmental standards

  • Document reasons for denial or authorization of claim in accordance with policy conditions and quote the policy language to the correct parties in a timely manner and within the authority level

  • If bilingual, the ability to speak, read and write the Spanish language fluently.

  • Participate in training programs and quality assessment standards for effectiveness in supporting departmental goals and objectives

  • Actively participates in the development of personal performance management plans

  • Other duties as assigned.

Atlanta, Miami, and Scottsdale

As a Property Adjuster, you will review property damage claim information from the Outside Adjuster, complete the investigation, and resolve the claim. This requires strong organizational abilities and empathetic interpersonal skills. You will also be responsible for ongoing communication and for providing status updates to the insured and others associated with the claim activity. Successful candidates will be computer literate and comfortable working in a paperless environment. The Property Claims Adjuster will enjoy working with customers, be effective at listening and communicating, and have confidence in resolving issues and negotiating fair settlements. Basic Qualifications Required - Experience, Skills, and Knowledge:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Three years of claims adjusting experience preferred

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to navigate and enter data on multiple screens

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Knowledge:

  • Associate/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • 5yrs or more of claims adjusting experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and ability to draft business-level communications when responding to customers

  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision to manage schedules and meet deadlines

  • Ability to type a minimum of 40 wpm

Customer Contact Operations Representative

This role is responsible for handling inbound calls and off-phone work items related to Vehicle Protection Products such as, but not limited to, mechanical and electrical breakdown repair contracts (commonly referred to by dealerships as "extended warranties"), vehicle maintenance contracts, RV part extended service contracts.

This is a remote position.

The Details

  • The agent is responsible for addressing questions from customers on how the agreement works including explaining claim procedures, coverage details, claim details, relaying denied claim determinations, etc.

  • The agent must learn to navigate multiple systems, learn and adhere to departmental scripts and processes, adhere to quality assurance metrics, average handle time (AHT), and call volume metrics, properly convey the contract details/language to the customer and relay claim details and determinations to customers.

  • The agent must also address inbound and outbound calls with repair facilities/service providers related to claim payment delays and processing.

  • The agent is also responsible for several off-phone items including, but not limited to, claim audits and processing claim payments, working inbound and outbound emails and faxes, working payment requests coming into queues. The agent may be responsible for handling payment plan updates and manual payment requests.

  • If bilingual, the ability to speak, read and write the Spanish language fluently.

Field Claims Adjusters are the face of Assurant Specialty Property to the insured to make sure they are compensated correctly according to their policy when they experience damage or loss. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Investigate, adjust, and settle claims up to a specified amount for multiple product lines.

  • Meet with the insured to inspect losses and explain coverage.

  • Communicate with mortgage representatives, property managers, or other third-party administrators to obtain access and inspect vacant properties.

  • Collect policy and claim data and information including interviewing persons associated with the case and obtaining recorded statements.

  • Document damage/losses and prepare written cost estimates.

  • Document claim transactions and prepare and forward internal reports as needed.

  • Complete residential or mobile home claim settlement by reaching agreements with insured, claimants, and their representatives up to specified authority.
