Summary:

Leads the development and ensures the consistent administration of equitable and competitive compensation programs that comply with legal and regulatory requirements and that support the achievement of organizational objectives. Provides consultation, guidance, and direction to company leaders on compensation programs, policies, and strategies. Serves as subject matter expert on job design, incentive design, and market pricing.

Job Description:

Primary Accountabilities

  • Develops competitive and equitable compensation programs that comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Provides consultation, guidance, and direction to company leaders on compensation programs, policies, and strategies.

  • Leads the job design process, including job documentation and market analysis for assigned client groups.

  • Determines the total cash compensation and the placement of jobs in the pay structure based on external competitiveness and internal equity.

  • Analyzes the effectiveness of compensation plans and provide recommendations for improvement in order to drive desired behavior and support organizational objectives.

  • Prepares annual salary planning benchmarking, cost analyses, and merit matrix adjustments.

  • Manages the consistent implementation of a base compensation framework including salary ranges and merit guidelines in alignment with job design and grading frameworks.

  • Collaborates with the business and HR stakeholders to understand the compensation impacts of organizational changes, the workforce planning needs of business, and the competitive landscape of the labor market.

  • Ensures job functions, job families, and titles are consistent, aligned with the marketplace, and support internal organizational structures.

  • Serves as a project lead for various compensation-related special projects.

  • Partners with Technical Consultant and data and analytics to review claim /policy data or hypothesis generated from Claims Data & Analytics (CDA) on loss trends or results as well as supports hypotheses based on observations within the industry, auditor file consultations for analysis with CDA. Helps provide the root cause analysis of loss results to stakeholders based on input from audit, industry trends, CDA, and file consultations.

  • Partner with Technical Consultant to provide consultative technical and authoritative guidance to file handlers provide thought leadership on file risks and direction including regulatory and technical expertise.

  • Participate in direct and or second level quality audits to ensure compliance with company objectives, guidelines, regulatory and statutory compliance.

  • Identify and develop action plans to improve results through training and guidelines.

  • Develop and deliver training as needed based on findings from data, file audits, or guideline changes.

  • May oversee TPA claim operations and programs.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex 1st and 3rd party, multi-line claims.

  • Solid problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated experience with Quality Audit.


Summary:

Job Family Summary Investigates and maintains property/casualty claims. Determines liability secures information, reviews coverages arranges appraisals, and settles claims. May work in the field or central location. Job Summary The Claims Technical Consultant drives a line of business results through file consultation with claim handlers and staff counsel as needed, on files with coverage questions, high-risk litigation, high-risk exposure claims including complex file handling as well as participating in quality audits and provides LOB performance improvement recommendations/implementation plans.

Education & Licenses

  • Valid driver's license required plus an acceptable driving record.

Travel Requirements

  • Must be willing to travel for Catastrophe duty if necessary.

Additional Job Information:

Technical Training Consultant

  • Responsible for driving the creation, delivery, and refinement of training materials for the Auto Group in collaboration with claims operations

  • Assist with training other Consultants to lead various training programs

  • Help to analyze and create a training plan for a duration of time

  • Conceptualize training materials based on data and research

  • Collaborate with leadership to determine training needs

Skills/Preferred

  • 5+ years claims training experience preferred

  • Advanced training education or certification(s) preferred

  • Previous claims handling experience preferred

  • Extensive insurance policy knowledge

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to supervise multiple projects

  • Excellent leadership skills

  • Experience in Auto claims preferred
