Job Summary

Responsible for ensuring code development and technology vendors meet business objectives on time within budget and without major defects. Assist Sales Technology management with planning and strategy to best meet the business objectives of consumer markets sales and other business partners.

Responsibilities (Principal Duties and Responsibilities)

Serves as a liaison between Consumer Markets, 3rd Party Vendors, and the Information Technology department; assist with the maintenance of the corporate websites for content and functionality to comply with Aflac’s core business objectives

Represents the Consumer Markets team, helping to provide guidance in sales & marketing technology, analytics, user experience, and online sales & marketing strategy

Responsible for gathering information related to market trends/forecasts, analyze and presenting findings and recommendations to project managers, sales or upper management

Serves as the gatekeeper for public-facing website initiatives; interacting regularly with IT, Agencies, and Technology Vendors

Assist with content management for public-facing sites; analytics implementation and validation; Diagnosing and resolving technical issues.

Responsible for new website development or vendor code implementation utilizing the following: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; schema (XML or JSON).

Responsible for refactoring existing or agency-provided code including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript optimizations including SEO; provides recommendations on improving the efficiency of site maintenance and speed; translates business requirements into technical requirements to establish scopes with the smallest overhead.

Qualifications (Education & Experience and Job Knowledge & Skills)

Education & Experience

Bachelor's Degree Information Systems Management or Information Technology and six to eight years of job-related experience, Experience working with website applications and design; HTML prototypes, specifications, and style guidelines or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience with content management systems, customer relationship management systems, tag management solutions, site optimization tools, architectural diagrams and process flows

Job Summary

The Operations Support Coordinator role is an entry-level position, providing an excellent career path for someone interested in group benefits claims. In a fast-paced environment, and under the general supervision of the team manager, this position is responsible for providing clerical support for the claims team, ensuring a complete and efficient claim process for all resources engaged.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assists claim team partners by leveraging systems and documented processes to complete the initial

  • eligibility verification on all new claims filed

  • Maintains ownership of client-specific email box to ensure timely processing of incoming mail and the

  • creation of new claims as needed

  • Researches outstanding items to resolution

  • Prints and mails communications as needed

  • Builds effective working relationships with internal partner teams

Makes timely, accurate, and customer-focused Life and Accident new and ongoing claim decisions using advanced independent discretion guided by company procedures and regulatory standards; handles the most complex claims; reaches out to obtain relevant medical and police, legal, employer, financial, and other information; compares the information to the terms, limitations, and conditions of the contract and applicable procedural documents and renders the claim decision as quickly as possible

Documents the claims system in an accurate and comprehensive manner; prepares, updates, and utilizes a claims management plan to attain the most appropriate outcome; remains in full compliance with regulatory requirements; demonstrates an above average level of proficiency in product and claims administration techniques; remains fully compliant with operational standards; meets or exceeds claims team operational metrics

Maintains a superior level of genuine caring and empathetic customer service throughout all interactions; takes appropriate actions to earn the claimant's and employer's trust and confidence; anticipates customer’s needs and takes action as appropriate

Education & Experience Required

Bachelor's Degree in a related field

3 - 5 years of Life industry claims experience

Demonstrated proficiency in product-specific areas of Life or Disability as well as federal and state regulations governing these products and services

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
